Recommended For

Choose ScooTurbö 10W40 if you ride your scooter in very hot climates (temperatures consistently above 38°C), at sustained highway speeds, or if your scooter has a 125cc–150cc high-output engine. The 40-grade operating viscosity provides a thicker protective oil film for engines running hotter or under greater load. Recommended for Honda Grazia 125, Suzuki Access 125 BS6, and Yamaha Aerox 155 riders in hot states.

About This Product

The Carbo Oil ScooTurbö 10W40 is designed for 125cc–150cc scooter engines, hot-climate riders (above 38°C sustained ambient), and scooters at sustained highway speeds. JASO MB certified — the critical certification for CVT scooters that prevents belt wear caused by JASO MA2 motorcycle oil being used in scooters by mistake. The thicker 40-grade operating viscosity maintains a stronger oil film for higher-output engines running at elevated temperatures. Also recommended for petrol-LPG dual-fuel scooters (change interval: 3,000 km on LPG). Compatible with Honda Grazia 125, Suzuki Access 125 BS6, Yamaha Aerox 155, TVS NTORQ 125, and Honda Activa 125 BS6. Available in 800ml.

Frequently Asked Questions

When should I choose 10W40 over 10W30 for my scooter?

Choose ScooTurbö 10W40 if you ride your scooter in very hot climates (temperatures consistently above 38°C), at sustained highway speeds, or if your scooter has a 125cc–150cc high-output engine. The 40-grade operating viscosity provides a thicker protective oil film for engines running hotter or under greater load. Recommended for Honda Grazia 125, Suzuki Access 125 BS6, and Yamaha Aerox 155 riders in hot states.

Is 10W40 scooter oil suitable for the TVS NTORQ 125 and Honda Activa 125?

Yes. Both use 125cc engines with tighter tolerances than 100cc models. The TVS NTORQ 125 in particular has a sporty high-revving engine that benefits from the thicker 40-grade film at operating temperature. Honda Activa 125 (BS6 variant) can use either 10W30 or 10W40; the 10W40 is slightly better for highway riding and summer conditions. Confirm JASO MB certification on the label — ScooTurbö MB ensures correct CVT protection.

Will a thicker 10W40 oil slow down the CVT belt on my scooter?

No. The difference between 10W30 and 10W40 is the hot viscosity — both are equally thin at cold start (10W). The CVT belt runs in a dry or semi-dry chamber in most scooters and is not directly bathed in engine oil. The engine oil lubricates the crank, connecting rod, and cylinder — the viscosity difference between 30 and 40 at operating temperature has negligible effect on belt speed or CVT response.

Can I use this oil in a scooter with a petrol-LPG dual-fuel conversion?

Yes, with caution. LPG conversions run hotter and burn cleaner than petrol, but they can also accelerate cylinder wear and oil degradation because LPG provides less lubrication to the intake valves. The ScooTurbö 10W40 with its API SN formulation and detergent additives is adequate for LPG-converted scooters, but we recommend reducing the oil change interval to 3,000 km and monitoring oil colour at each check.
