Choose 10W40 if your bike has a high-performance engine or higher displacement (200cc and above), if you ride at sustained highway speeds, or if your engine has accumulated significant mileage (above 30,000 km). The thicker 40-grade viscosity at operating temperature provides a stronger oil film between moving metal surfaces under higher load. Popular recommendation for Bajaj Pulsar 200/220, Honda Hornet 2.0, TVS Apache 200, and Yamaha MT-15.

You can, but it's not optimal. A 10W40 oil is slightly heavier than the OEM-recommended grade for most 100cc–125cc engines, which are calibrated for 10W30. The higher viscosity creates marginally more internal friction, which can slightly reduce fuel efficiency and make the engine feel less smooth during cold start. For 100cc bikes, 10W30 is preferred. Reserve 10W40 for 150cc and above.

Yes. Slipper clutch motorcycles like the Bajaj Pulsar NS200/RS200, TVS Apache RR310, and Yamaha MT-15 still use oil-bathed clutch components — they are JASO MA2 applications. The SUPER-FS 10W40 maintains the friction properties required by JASO MA2 while also providing the additional film thickness needed for the higher-stress clutch engagement in these bikes. Note: KTM Duke 390 and Bajaj Dominar 400 also have slipper clutches but require heavier grades (15W50 and 10W50 respectively per OEM spec) — use the 01 RS 15W50 for those.

Yes, the SUPER-FS 10W40 API SN grade is a strong match for the Pulsar NS200 and RS200. Both use a liquid-cooled 4-stroke engine with significant thermal output. The 40-grade thickness at operating temperature provides sufficient oil film protection for the tighter tolerances in these performance engines. For track days or sustained high-RPM use, consider upgrading to the 01 RS racing series.
